Worked as a welder?

If you have had a welder job and now suffer from chest pressure, feel breathless or you’re coughing at night, you may have occupational asthma or Siderosis. This can occur as a result of being exposed to iron, which is then deposited into the lung tissue and causes a reduced respiratory function.

  • Have you been exposed to chemicals or substances like iron?
  • Do you have a persistent cough, feel tightness in the chest or have trouble breathing?
  • You may be able to make an occupational asthma claim.

Welders are also at risk of developing occupational dermatitis as a result of working with oil based products as well as noise induced hearing loss, which is caused by certain types of welding such as Arc and MIG.

If you think that you have occupational asthma or another work-related condition as a result of your welder job, fill in the form on the right. A member of our legal team will then be in contact with free, impartial legal advice on what do to next.
