JMW Law Share Tournament
The Roberts Jackson football team have joined the annual JMW Lawshare tournament along with Fletchers Solicitors, Aequitas Legal, Napthens Solicitors and O’Neill Patient Solicitors. The six teams representing their firms will battle it out at “Soccer in the City” on the 24th June for the “Infamous” Lawshare trophy that has been claimed by Fletchers in the first two tournaments.

Each team will be paying an entrance fee of at least £30 for the tournament and the proceeds will go to charity. There will be 2 groups of 3 teams. Games will be 16 minutes each. The top 2 teams in each group will go onto fight out a semi-final and subsequent final and there will be further games between teams that don’t progress/who get knocked to determine runner up positions.

RJ-Champions

Recently the Roberts Jackson football team were crowned Division 2 champions in the “Champion Soccer” Wilmslow 6 a side league. The team play every Monday night at the Phoenix sports club in Styal in a league ran by the F.A. It was a tense and hard fought season as the team managed to fend off second place Wilmslow FC by two points in the final game with a 2-1 win against The Kitchen Utensils.

On top of this the team managed to get to the quarter finals of the Cup and but narrowly lost out on a semi-final place in a 1-0 defeat. RJFC are now in Division 1 and have got off to a flying start with a 4-2 win in their opening game. Congratulations lads and let’s hope we can earn another trophy this year!!
