CEO, Karen Jackson named “Legal Business Woman of the Year” by the Law Society

Roberts Jackson Solicitors are pleased to announce that CEO Karen Jackson, has been named “Legal Business Woman of the Year” at the 2014 National Law Society Excellence Awards.

Jackson has worked tirelessly to create a firm which pushes the boundaries of innovation within the legal market. As a result Roberts Jackson is fast becoming recognised as a cutting edge leader within the legal arena and Karen’s drive and diligence has been one of the key factors in this recognition.

This announcement comes following recent news of a substantial private equity investment in August this year into the firm by NorthEdge Capital in the sum of £15 million.

Karen was unfortunately unable to attend the awards due to other commitments but made this acceptance speech (found below), that was played at the awards instead:

Karen has also been short listed for “Entrepreneur of the Year” at the Modern Law awards due to be announced next week in London.

Karen has said the following about receiving the Award –

“I am both surprised and honoured to be recognised in this way by the National Law Society especially given the calibre of my fellow 9 nominees short listed in this category. Women lawyers were not permitted in the UK until 92 years ago and yet now the majority of law students and over 25 per cent of Partners in private practice are female which is a terrific achievement to date. Thanks to the judges and to all my employees at the firm who work tirelessly for their clients day in day out”
