Modern Law Awards 2015 - Shortlisted
Roberts Jackson Solicitors has been short listed for the Modern Law Awards in the category of “ABS of the year – over 100 employees”. This is the third year the annual awards are taking place, it also marks 3rd successful year of short listings for the firm.

The Modern Law Awards were launched to celebrate and identify sparkling talent and success in entrepreneurship, market development, business management and best practice in the modern legal services arena. The Modern Law Awards website states that “The Modern Law Awards offer a unique and timely opportunity to celebrate not only innovative business leaders but those changing the face of business strategy and development, regulation management and client care throughout the organisation – for both short and long-term gain.”

Roberts Jackson Solicitors were successful in obtaining an Alternative Business Structure (ABS) license in 2014, shortly after licences became available. This has become essential to the growth and success of Roberts Jackson in the last 12 months and we were quick to introduce Gladys Swaim-Rutter to the executive board with her business and marketing experience.

On top of the short listing for the firm, one of RJ’s recent recruits, David Hallsworth, has been short listed for “Rising Star of the Year” at the 2015 Modern Law Awards.

For the award “ABS of the year” the Modern law guidelines state that the firm must demonstrate the following: “Successful implementation of strategic goals as demonstrated, for example, by development of new practice areas, financial performance and community involvement, reflecting the size of the business.“ Whereas David has to show: “A high level of involvement within the profession and area of practice and to what extent, considering their time in practice and any significant obstacles they have overcome as well as  a contribution to non fee-earning but industry related activities, for example new initiative creation.”

The Award ceremony is due to take place at the Hurlingham Club, London on 19th November 2015. The guest host for the night is none other than “8 out of 10 Cats” host and stand-up comedian Jimmy Carr. Tickets are available on the Modern Law Awards website which can be found by following the link below.
