Leila Bridgett wins the Trainee Solicitor of the Year Award at the Prestigious Manchester Legal Awards

Roberts Jackson is celebrating the success of one of its newly qualified solicitors, Leila Bridgett. She has received the award for Trainee Solicitor of the Year at The Manchester Legal awards held on 7th March 2013. This comes in the wake of her successfully completing her training contract on 1st March.

Leila was pitted against some of the finest Trainees Manchester has to offer making the achievement even more notable. The award recognises outstanding achievement during their training contract either in a client context or through pro bono. The nominees also had to display a client focused attitude, initiative and excellence in their work and sensitivity to professional values.

The award makes it Roberts Jackson’s second achievement at the event two years running. The firm won Small Firm of the Year in 2012 and was nominated for the same this year. The ceremony was held at the Midland Hotel in Manchester and attracts the most elite law firms throughout the region.

Speaking about her success Leila has said “I am delighted to have been shortlisted for the award and I am overwhelmed to have won in such prestigious category. To have qualified as a solicitor and won the award in the same week has come as such a pleasant surprise and I would like to thank all of my colleagues at Roberts Jackson, all those who have assisted me throughout my training contract and in particular to all my clients”

Co-Owner and Co-Director of Roberts Jackson, Oliver Jackson has said “Leila has gone from our admin department to trainee solicitor to a brilliant industrial disease lawyer in less than 3 years. I am really thrilled that all her considerable hard work for her clients has been recognised. She now successfully opposes Partners at trials and in a very short time will be at the very top of her speciality.

Having completing her training contract, Leila is a perfect example of how an exceptionally talented young solicitor can, with expert training, compete with and prevail over those with many more hours on the clock.”

The award highlights the level of training Roberts Jackson provide their staff as well as its approach to client care and excellence in the level of professional service it has to offer.
