WHAT HAS MADE YOUR ASTHMA WORSE?
There are many different factors that can cause or exacerbate asthma. In nearly all cases, exposure to asthmagens in a given job role is usually the cause of increasing symptoms, but what are asthmagens?
Asthmagens are airborne particles that when inhaled can aggravate or cause the development of breathing problems such as asthma. Common asthmagens found at work can include coal dust, welding fumes and chemical vapours. These can cause or exacerbate a number of respiratory conditions, including:
- Occupational Asthma
- Farmer’s Lung
If you have suffered or do suffer from one of the conditions above we strongly suggest you notify your employer. This gives them the opportunity to make changes to your working environment to help the condition.
