Conditions affecting all parts of the arm can be rare and are usually not linked to occupation. Workers more likely to be at risk from full arm injuries are manual workers or those using vibratory tools.

Vibration White Finger or Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome – VWF or HAVS is a form of Raynaud’s disease caused by prolonged operation of vibratory tools. It affects blood vessels, muscles, joints and nerves in the wrist, arm and fingers, resulting in numbness, tingling and blanching of the fingertips.
Symptoms of this condition are usually made worse by cold weather and sufferers normally get attacks which can last anywhere from twenty minutes to two hours.
